In Alberta, there is no regulatory requirement that directly or specifically states that companies must have an environmental program in place. However, there are very strong motivators within the Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (AEPEA) that make it prudent for Companies, and especially Company executives, to take the initiative to put an environmental program in place.
