COR Coaching Program

Once a Company has decided to obtain a Certificate of Recognition (COR) and their Company “champion” has attended the Safety Basics training, it can be a somewhat daunting exercise to initiate the process and to maintain momentum towards the final, and hopefully successful, COR audit. In addition, the “champion” in small to medium sized companies often has multiple responsibilities that can take away from his or her safety program efforts.

IMS Global Corp provides a COR Coaching Program™ that serves to guide the Company towards the end goal of achieving their COR. This is accomplished through a kick-off orientation for all employees followed by a staged introduction of one element after another to ensure that, once introduced, the element is maintained and is suitably documented. Parsing this monumental process into manageable parts ensures that employees are well-equipped to achieve a successful COR audit.

The IMS representative assists, encourages, and motivates the Company “champion” through the process. With this assistance, the program maintains the necessary momentum to implement the program in a timely manner. In addition, the IMS representative will emphasize and assist in the dissemination of information to the workforce. By doing this, the quality and acceptance of the safety program is increased and will result in improved safety performance and a greater chance of audit success.

The COR Coaching Program™ keeps the Company on schedule with regards to COR achievement, but more importantly, it helps to provide a greater understanding of the COR elements by all parties: the Company “champion”, management, and the workforce.

Prior to the COR audit, the IMS representative will work with the Company “champion” to prepare a document that will serve to confirm the Company's readiness and will greatly assist the external auditor in his or her job.

Upon achievement of the COR, IMS Global Corp is available to assist in all aspects of a Health and Safety Program - from simple maintenance of the program through to assistance in any and all aspects of the program that exceed the ability, or time availability, of the Company “champion”.
