Incident Command System

The Incident Command System (ICS) is an efficient on-site tool used to manage all emergency response situations. Understanding the concepts of ICS is as important for the workers who may be first on the scene as it is for the local responders, provincial, and federal organizations that may be joining in.

Organizations across Canada are implementing the international standard of ICS. The system’s organizational structure is able to adapt to any incident in which emergency service personnel would be expected to respond, expanding in a logical manner from a minor emergency situation to a complex incident.

At IMS, we strongly recommend that our clients use the standardized version of ICS. All of the Emergency Response Plans  that we build are ICS-based, and we offer ICS training that covers the first 11 modules. Our Blended Training combines online lessons with in-class or in-field exercises.
